University has a rule of its own. Hillsborough County's published rule: Hillsborough County collects on most holidays, but there is no curbside collection on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day, and no garbage collection on New Year's Day, when recycling and yard waste are still collected. There are no make-up days: a pickup that falls on one of those holidays is skipped, and service resumes on the next regularly scheduled collection day.

The dates below are the federal holidays left this year, with what Hillsborough County's published schedule means for each of those weeks.
