State College, PA trash pickup by address.

Trash / garbage: Wednesday.

Wednesday is what one State College address returned on October 26, 2026.

State College runs an automated arm that reaches out to grasp, lift, and dump each cart, so refuse carts must sit at or near the curb — within ten feet of the street or alley — to be reachable.

Refuse containers and recycling bins must be removed from the street on the day of collection; residents who fail to remove them are subject to a fine.

All loose or fine refuse must be enclosed in a bag — ashes, plastic wrap, kitty litter, tissues, and packing peanuts among them.

Persons with physical disabilities due to age, poor health, or as defined in the Americans with Disabilities Act may be exempt from placing refuse at the street or alley.
