Mobile, AL trash pickup by address.

Trash / garbage: Thursday.

Thursday is what one Mobile address returned on October 26, 2026.

Household garbage containers must be placed by the curb by 6 a.m. on the regular collection day, and empty containers should be returned to the household no later than 11:59 p.m. that day.

Place the cart with its handle facing away from the street and at least 3 feet away from obstructions such as vehicles, fire hydrants, trees, utility poles, fences, and low-hanging lines; carts placed in medians or on vacant lots will not be collected.

All household garbage must be contained inside plastic bags and placed inside a city-issued garbage cart.

Mobile publishes its collection routes as a map (City of Mobile — Trash and Garbage): each route area carries a fixed weekday for trash; the lookup reads that area for your address and turns the city's route codes into plain weekdays.

Some newer streets are missing from the map. For an address the map does not cover we say so rather than guess a day.
