Joliet runs on most holidays, and names the short list that changes. WM's published rule: Your Waste Management pickup is delayed by one day if your collection day falls on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.

The dates below are the federal holidays left this year, with what WM's published schedule means for each of those weeks.

WM collects garbage, recycling and landscape waste throughout Joliet under its contract with the City of Joliet. The day on this page comes from WM's own record for the address: the lookup above asks WM's pickup schedule for the exact address you enter and gives the weekly garbage day on that record. Some addresses have no residential record with WM (WM finds no account there, or no active residential one), and those get no day here rather than a guess; when WM's lookup does not respond, the lookup says so and gives no day.

We last checked Joliet on October 8, 2026: 3 of 3 addresses returned an exact collection day. The days they returned were Thursday and Friday. That is what our check saw, not a full list of Joliet's pickup days.

This page reads Joliet's trash days from WM's address records, last on October 8, 2026. Service alerts, cart standards and missed-pickup reports belong with City of Joliet (collection by WM), not here.
