Edina, MN trash pickup: who collects.

The City of Edina does not operate trash pickup: residents must contract privately with one of the six garbage haulers the City licenses, and garbage is picked up on the schedule they contract with their hauler.

The licensed haulers are Aspen Waste Systems (612-884-8000), Curbside Waste, Inc. (763-504-2872), Republic Services (952-941-5174), Suburban Waste Service (952-937-8900), Vierkant Disposal (612-922-2505) and Waste Management (952-890-1100); missed pickups go to your hauler directly.

Recycling and organics are City services: the City contracts with Republic Services for single-sort recycling, picked up every other week on garbage day in a blue or gray week depending on your address, and, for single-family homes, with Vierkant Disposal for organics, picked up weekly on the same day as garbage; both fees are in the quarterly utility bill.

The City's interactive online map shows an address's assigned recycling week, pickup day and calendar for recycling and organics recycling.

Garbage containers go out by the curb by 7 a.m. on pickup day and no more than 12 hours before collection; questions about hauler licenses go to the Public Health Division at 952-826-0370.

This page does not check a collection day for your address in Edina; it was last checked against City of Edina, Garbage & Recycling on October 26, 2026. Service alerts, carts and missed pickups belong with whoever collects your trash, not here.
