Bulk trash rules are often different from weekly trash collection. Check the city before placing furniture, appliances, brush, or large items outside.

Some cities collect bulky items on a neighborhood rotation. Others require an appointment, separate brush from furniture, limit the number or size of items, or exclude appliances that contain refrigerant. Enter the address before moving anything to the curb.

Items that often need a separate rule

Mattresses, upholstered furniture, and large household items.
Appliances, electronics, tires, construction debris, and hazardous materials.
Brush, tree limbs, leaves, and yard debris that may use a seasonal route.

Official city or hauler instructions control. Do not place an item outside until the source confirms it is accepted and gives the correct set-out time.
